Über uns

Tageslage is an independent Swedish digital news publisher, founded in 2024 and owned by Tageslage Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar. We deliver clear, practical coverage of Swedish news, politics, economics, culture, society and current affairs for readers in Sweden and internationally.

Our tagline — „Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland“ — reflects our ambition to serve a German-speaking audience with trustworthy, no-spin journalism about Sweden. Every article you read on tageslage.de is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. Our editorial mission is simple: help readers understand complex issues without oversimplification or bias.

What do we cover?

We cover Swedish politics (politik), the economy (wirtschaft and ekonomi), culture, society and current affairs. Our reporting spans the Riksdag, government policy, local municipal decisions, labour market trends, household finances, the arts, lifestyle, and social issues that matter to people living in or following Sweden.

We produce daily news, analysis pieces and background explainers. Our journalists are based in Sweden and Germany, and we prioritise topics that are under-reported in mainstream German-language media. You will find coverage of legislation, regulatory changes, corporate news, immigration, integration, education, housing and the Swedish welfare model.

How do we work?

Every article published on Tageslage is the result of a three-step editorial process. A named writer produces the initial draft. An editor reviews it for clarity, accuracy and fairness. A dedicated fact-checker verifies key claims, sources and statistics before the piece goes live.

We may use AI-assisted tools to support research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata, headline options, summaries or transcription. However, artificial intelligence never replaces human editorial judgement. Every published piece is approved by a human editor. AI must never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. For full details, see our AI and automation policy and our fact-checking policy.

Our editorial standards are set out in our editorial policy and our Sources and Standards page, which detail how we handle sourcing, corrections, complaints and conflicts of interest.

Who is responsible for what we publish?

Maximilian Roth serves as Chefredaktör (editor-in-chief) and is responsible for all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. You can reach him at anders.lindqvist@tageslage.de or by phone on +46 8 525 030 61.

Lisa Schumacher is Redaktionschef (head of editorial) and oversees the daily newsroom, headline review and commissioning of stories. Her email is karin.bergstrom@tageslage.de and her phone number is +46 8 525 030 62.

Our full editorial team — including Tobias Graf (Politikredaktör), Caroline Arnold (Wirtschaftreporter), Philipp Klein (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör) and Sophie Lehmann (Ansvarig för faktagranskning) — is listed on our Our Team page.

What can you expect from us?

You can expect journalism that is accurate, independent and transparent. We name our writers. We label sponsored or commercial material clearly. Affiliate links are disclosed. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. We correct errors promptly and publicly. We maintain a clear separation between editorial and commercial operations.

Our funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. For a full breakdown of how Tageslage is funded and owned, see our ownership and funding page and our advertising and affiliate disclosure.
