Tipp senden

We rely on our readers to help us uncover stories that matter. Whether you have a document, a tip about a policy shift in the Riksdag, or a lead on a cultural story affecting Swedish society, we want to hear from you. This page explains how to send us information securely and what happens after you do.

What makes a good tip for Tageslage?

A good tip is a specific, verifiable piece of information about a matter of public interest in Sweden. We are looking for stories that shed light on how power works, how money moves, and how decisions affect people’s lives—from the national level down to your local municipality.

We are especially interested in tips related to policy developments in the Riksdag and Regeringen, including proposed legislation, parliamentary debates, and internal government processes. Municipal politics is also a vital beat; if you have insight into how a kommun is spending public funds or making a controversial zoning decision, that matters to us. On the economic and business side, we want to hear about market-moving news, household finance trends, and corporate behaviour with clear public consequences. Culture and society stories with a Swedish relevance—from changes in education policy to shifts in migration or labour law—are also a strong fit.

A good tip is not a rumour or an opinion. It includes a clear factual basis, ideally with supporting documents, emails, recordings, or other primary sources. If you have a story about a conflict of interest in a local council or a lead on a major infrastructure contract, you have our attention.

How can you reach us?

You can send your tip directly to tips@tageslage.de. This address is monitored by our newsdesk and reviewed by our Redaktionschef, Lisa Schumacher.

If your tip is about a breaking news story or an ongoing event, you can also write to newsdesk@tageslage.de. For matters relating to press access, media credentials, or partnership inquiries, use press@tageslage.de. Our general contact address, info@tageslage.de, is also open for initial approaches, though tips are best directed to the dedicated team.

What should you include in your tip?

Please include as much specific information as possible. At a minimum, tell us what you know, how you know it, and whether you have any documentary evidence. If you are a source inside an organisation, explaining your area of knowledge helps us assess the credibility of the information.

Do not worry about polished writing. We value solid facts over perfect prose. If you can, include a way for our journalists to follow up with you—an encrypted email address, a Signal number, or a secure contact method. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please state that clearly at the start of your message.

How do we verify your tip?

Every tip is reviewed by our newsroom and, if it progresses toward publication, assigned to a named writer and then to our fact-checking desk. Our Ansvarig för faktagranskning, Sophie Lehmann, leads the verification process, which follows the standards outlined in our fact-checking policy and our broader sources and standards guide.

We will cross-reference your information against public records, official databases, and additional independent sources. We do not publish a tip based on a single anonymous source unless the information is independently corroborated or is of such grave public interest that the source’s safety demands anonymity. We will always ask for documentation where possible.

What about confidentiality?

We take source protection seriously. Tageslage Media Ltd. is committed to protecting the identity of whistleblowers and confidential sources. You can reach us using encrypted email or messaging apps. Please indicate in your first message if you need guidance on secure communication.

We will not share your identity or contact details outside the editorial team without your explicit permission. Our legal structure, registered in Gibraltar with a Maltese business registry, gives us a specific legal framework; we advise anyone with highly sensitive information to seek independent legal advice before contacting us.

What happens after you submit?

After you submit a tip, it is logged and routed to the appropriate desk—usually the newsdesk under Redaktionschef Lisa Schumacher. If it concerns national politics, it goes to Politikredaktör Tobias Graf. If it is economic, Wirtschaftreporter Caroline Arnold handles the initial review. For culture and social stories, Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Philipp Klein takes the lead.

We aim to acknowledge receipt within 48 hours. If we decide to pursue the story, a named journalist will contact you. Not every tip results in a story; we may hold a tip for background research or decide it does not meet our editorial standards. We do not share our reasoning for declining a tip.

What you can expect from us

You can expect that we will treat your information with seriousness and discretion. Our editorial mission—trustworthy Swedish journalism without spin or oversimplification—governs how we handle every lead. We will not sensationalise your tip or use it out of context. If we publish a story based on your tip, we will make every effort to present the facts accurately and attribute information appropriately.

We also expect you to understand that we retain full editorial control. Submitting a tip does not guarantee publication, and we may contact other sources to verify or challenge your information. We operate under clear editorial policies and a complaints procedure if you believe we have handled your tip unfairly.

How do we handle corrections?

If we publish information based on a tip and later find it to be in error, we will correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are handled by the Ansvarig för faktagranskning, Sophie Lehmann, and are recorded under our corrections policy. If you think we have made a mistake, please write to corrections@tageslage.de with the relevant article link and the correct information.
